How we establish the starting score
We use an official prior SAT or ACT score, or a full-length proctored practice test taken under timed, standardized conditions at intake. If both are available, we use the most recent official score report.
What the average includes
Gains compare the starting score with the student's highest single official administration after preparation. The SAT average is +162 points; the ACT average is +4.8 Composite points. Using superscores, which combine top sections from different test dates, the averages are +184 SAT points and +5.4 ACT points.
The middle half of gains falls between +120 and +210 SAT points, and +3.5 and +6.0 ACT points. Fewer than 4% of students who completed a full program gained below +80 SAT points or +2.0 ACT points.
How much preparation students complete
The reported average is 16 hours of one-to-one instruction. A typical schedule is two hours a week over eight to ten weeks, with three to four full-length proctored practice tests. Your student's plan may differ. Outcomes are updated annually.
