Start with an honest read of the score
Preparation begins with a full-length Diagnostic when the timeline allows. If a student has a recent SAT or PSAT score, we can start there and complete the Diagnostic early in the program. We use the result to identify the skills, question types, and timing habits that deserve the most attention.

The standard digital SAT, in plain English
Reading and Writing
54 questions in 64 minutes. Students work with Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions.
Math
44 questions in 70 minutes. The section covers Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry.
Each section has two timed modules. Performance in the first module helps determine the difficulty of the second. The standard test takes 2 hours and 14 minutes and reports a total score from 400 to 1600. Students approved for accommodations may test under a different format or timing arrangement.

What live preparation looks like
- We review goals, timing, and past scores in the consultation.
- We build the Roadmap from the Diagnostic or current data.
- The student meets consistently with a senior instructor for direct teaching, guided work, and feedback.
- Practice tests and timed sections show what is improving and what needs a different approach.
- Families receive a Session Recap and regular Progress Report so the work stays visible.
Matt leads the mathematics curriculum and earned perfect scores on both the SAT and ACT. Lyla leads Reading and Writing. Every student works directly with a senior instructor; senior instructors accept a limited number of students each semester.

Outcomes are updated annually. Results vary with starting score, time, attendance, and the student’s work between sessions.
