Use the data you already have
We can begin with a recent ACT, PreACT, or full-length Diagnostic. From there, we look beyond the composite: which sections hold the score back, where time runs out, and what work fits the student’s testing window. The result is a Roadmap with priorities, pacing goals, and a realistic sequence of practice.

The current ACT format
Core sections
English: 50 questions, 35 minutes. Math: 45 questions, 50 minutes. Reading: 36 questions, 40 minutes. The Composite is based on these three sections.
Optional add-ons
Science: 40 questions, 40 minutes. Writing: one prompt, 40 minutes. Neither affects the Composite score. Science can be useful to some students and is reported separately.
We help families decide whether optional Science fits a student’s goals and confirm any requirements directly with the colleges under consideration. The ACT also offers accommodations and supports that can affect a student’s testing experience.

How the program moves forward
- We review goals, past results, course load, and the planned testing date.
- We identify the most useful content gaps to address and timing patterns from a Diagnostic or existing results.
- Students meet consistently with a senior instructor for direct teaching and timed work.
- A Practice Plan gives the student specific work between sessions.
- Practice tests, Session Recaps, and Progress Reports keep the plan current for both student and parent.
Matt leads the mathematics curriculum and earned perfect scores on both the ACT and SAT. Lyla leads English and Reading. Every student works directly with a senior instructor; senior instructors accept a limited number of students each semester.

Average gain reflects 86 ACT students who completed 12 or more hours of preparation, measured against a target set at intake. The parent rating reflects 897+ verified client reviews. Outcomes are updated annually. Scores vary with the starting point, timeline, attendance, and work between sessions.
